Using the Headlines to Boost Your Sales Video
What Are Headlines and How Do They Work?
The Headline is the highlight image that appears above your VSL.
It’s the first thing people see and plays a crucial role in encouraging them to click and watch the video.
A good Headline is one that sparks curiosity and grabs attention, potentially resulting in a view rate close to 100%.
On the other hand, a less appealing Headline can lead to a low view rate. Therefore, having a powerful Headline above your VSL is essential for the success of your conversion!
Below, we have an example applied to a VSL in the rejuvenation niche:
Now that you understand the importance of having a good Headline, it's time to get to work and learn how to set it up!
Setting Up Your Headline
In your video, click Edit → Headlines → Add Headline.
Next, give it a name, upload the desired image or GIF, and click "Create".
You can use different versions for mobile and desktop, if you prefer. Just activate the "Image for different devices" option.
Done, Headline added! But we’re not stopping here...
Increase your conversions with the Headline Test
After adding the first Headline to your video, you can run an Automatic Test between it and other versions.
Click on "Configure Test", repeat the process above to add new Headlines, and click on "Start Test" to begin the Test.
Once done, all the added Headlines will appear on the side of the video, with the Test in Progress.
You can also "Enable version without Headline": This feature allows you to evaluate the performance of your video without a Headline, providing a direct comparison with the other versions.
Below the video, the metrics related to each Headline will be available:
Headline: Here appears the name you gave to each version.
Unique Views: This section will show the number of unique views.
Play Rate: The ratio of people who accessed your page vs. people who clicked play on your video.
Retention to Pitch: Here you will find the retention percentage at the moment of the Pitch.
Conversions: The number of sales each Headline generated.
Conversion Rate: The percentage of people who converted in each version of the Test.
Important: When you add multiple Headlines, VTurb evenly splits the traffic between them. From this point, VTurb will automatically conduct tests to identify which Headline gives you the best conversion. This way, you're strategically using your traffic to boost your sales!

Ending the Headline Test
If you choose to manually end the test, you will receive a notification informing you of the end date, along with a note that no version has been determined as the winner.
If VTurb automatically ends the test, a winning Headline will be declared, along with a notification similar to the following:
Remember that once VTurb finishes the test, all traffic will be directed to the winning Headline, further maximizing the results of your sales campaign!
Headline Size Recommendations:
Desktop:
Recommended: 1500x200 pixels.
Try different sizes to find the one that fits best with your page.
Mobile:
Small texts: 410x110 pixels.
Large texts: 410x280 pixels.
Removing the background from your Headline.
To remove the background from your Headline, you need to edit the image before uploading it to VTurb! You can remove the background using an image creation tool (like Canva, for example).
Tip: You can also use the website https://www.remove.bg/ to remove the background.
If you prefer to leave some color in the background of the Headline, we suggest it be the same as the background color of your page!
Important: You don't need to modify the video code on your page when making edits in the VTurb panel. Just reload your page and, if necessary, clear the cache to see the video with the new edits!
