What Are Templates and How Do They Work?

With Templates, you have the ability to set a default configuration for an entire folder. Or, if you'd prefer, you can clone settings from one video to another.

Think of a Template as a handy tool you can use to standardize your video customizations, making your workflow smoother and faster!

💡 One crucial detail: Templates are exclusive to FOLDERS. This means your videos need to be organized into folders on your dashboard! :)

The beauty of the Template feature is that it lets you replicate the settings of one video to another, sparing you the hassle of redoing the setup each time you upload a new clip.

Here's a quick run-through of how it works:

Setting a Customization as Your Template:

Click on 'Edit' and tweak your video to your liking.

Once you're done, click 'Back to Video'.

Now, select 'Set Template'. A little pop-up will appear for you to make your selection.

You have the choice to apply this customization as a template for existing videos in the folder, future uploads, or both.

Applying a Pre-set Template:

Upload your video and hit 'Edit'.

Next, click 'Load Template'.

A selection pop-up will appear, allowing you to choose which template you'd like to apply to the new video.

💡 Heads Up: There's no need to tinker with the video code on your site when making edits in the VTurb dashboard. Just refresh your page and, if needed, clear the cache to see your video with the updated edits!
