Learn to Use Members and Permissions

To add other people as Members and define their Permissions, you can follow two paths:

Option 1: Click on Settings -> Members -> Add Members

Option 2: Add the member directly to the desired video folder (by clicking on Permissions within the folder).

1. Define the Name, Email, and Permission

Add the Name and Email of the new member. Next, you will define the access level they will have: Administrator or Regular User.

Administrator: Full Access: Member has access to all pages and features of the account, including Videos, A/B Tests, Security, Finance, and Members. Cannot remove the account owner.

Regular User: Limited Permissions: Allows for detailed customization of access to each account item. Video access is granted per folder.

2. Customize Access (for Regular User)

By selecting Regular User, you will define the initial permissions in the panel and video access per folder.

Access Permissions (General Panel)

For items such as A/B Tests, Security, Finance, and the Members tab itself, you can choose between:

  • No Access
  • View
  • Edit

Video and Folder Permission:

For the Regular User, video access is controlled exclusively at the folder level. If the member is not added to any folder, they will not have access to view videos.

You can grant the following access options individually for each folder and subfolder within your video area:

  • No Access
  • View
  • Upload (Allows viewing and uploading new videos)
  • Edit (Allows viewing, uploading, and managing/editing videos)

If you grant a specific permission to an internal folder, and then try to remove or change the access of the folder that contains it (root folder), a confirmation modal will be displayed, asking if you want to update the root folder's permission, maintaining the secondary folder's permission, or if the change should be applied to all items.

Invitation Sent and Acceptance:

From the inviter's perspective, the invitation remains Pending until the new member accepts.

The invited person will receive an email requesting confirmation.

By clicking on "Accept Invitation", the new member will be directed to the VTurb panel.

Note: it will be necessary to create a registration if it is the first time the invited email is accessing VTurb, and then click on the top right corner, click on "Switch Organization" and select the organization that sent the invitation.

In the Panel, the status will change from "Pending" to "Active".

Done! The new member is now added to your account!

Important: If you want to edit the permission granted to an invited member, resend the invitation, or remove the member from the team, just click on the three dots next to the invited member's email.

If you are a member/owner of more than 1 account on VTurb, you can choose which account you want to access by clicking on the top right icon, under the "Switch Organization" option.
