What is the Picture-in-Picture feature?

The Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature allows the video to continue following the viewer as they navigate through the page.

When enabled, the video can appear in a floating mini player after the viewer scrolls away from the main player, keeping the content visible as they continue browsing the page.

This helps keep viewers engaged with the video while they navigate, creating a more seamless viewing experience.

How to enable Picture-in-Picture

To find this feature:

1. Open the video you want to configure in the VTurb dashboard;
2. Go to Playback Options;
3. Find the Picture in Picture section;
4. Enable the feature;
5. Configure the options based on the experience you want to create;
6. Click Save.

Within Picture-in-Picture, you’ll find two settings:

Activate on Scroll

When this option is enabled, Picture-in-Picture is automatically activated when the viewer scrolls away from the video player.
The video is then displayed in a floating mini player, allowing the viewer to keep watching while browsing the rest of the page.

Return to Player

This option restores the full player and takes the viewer back to it when an interaction, such as a Call to Action, requires their attention while Picture-in-Picture is active.
This way, the viewer can automatically return to the main player whenever an important interaction appears in the video.

That’s it! With Picture-in-Picture, your video stays with the viewer as they navigate the page, creating a smoother and more continuous viewing experience.
