Customize your video playback in the "Playback Options"

In this article, you’ll learn about the main playback options available in VTurb and how each one can be configured to customize your video viewing experience.
Some options allow you to change how the video behaves during playback, while others provide features designed to enhance the user experience across different devices.

To access the "Playback Options" section and customize how your video will play on your page, follow these simple steps:

1. Click on the desired video: Select the video you want to edit.

2. Choose the "Edit" option: After selecting the video, choose the "Edit" option.

3. Navigate to the "Playback Options" tab: Inside the editing menu, click on the "Playback Options" tab.

Now you're ready to customize your video playback! Here are some options you can choose from:

• Scroll to your site element: The main advantage of this feature is that the visitor doesn't need to make an effort to reach the element of your choice, which usually results in a simpler viewing experience. When using this feature, at the right moment, the page automatically scrolls to your selected element, keeping it centered on the screen for easier access! To configure this feature, you need to define the moment when your page will scroll to the chosen element and add the smartplayer-scroll-event class to the element on your page!

• Smart Pause: This feature automatically pauses the video when the user switches tabs and resumes playback when they return.

• Restart the video after the end: As soon as the video finishes playing, it will automatically restart at the time you define in the settings.

• Video startup quality: Defines the quality at which the video starts, allowing you to choose between the following options:
• • Automatic: The player will automatically select the best initial quality based on the viewer's internet speed.
  • Low: Starts at 360p to ensure faster loading, especially on slower connections.
  • Medium: Starts at 480p, offering a balance between quality and performance.
  • High: Starts at 720p or higher (when available), prioritizing the best visual quality.

Note: The quality may adjust automatically based on the viewer's internet connection.

• Focused Fullscreen: Displays the video in a customized fullscreen experience, offering more control over the viewing experience. The Fullscreen Experience does not use the browser's native fullscreen mode. Instead, the video expands to occupy 100% of the visible area of the page.

Unlike traditional fullscreen, which blocks the entire device interface, this experience keeps navigation active, this allows the user to continue scrolling through the page, view strategic elements (such as offers and buttons), and interact normally without having to exit viewing mode.

You can enable the following options:

• Enable for Desktop: Enables fullscreen only on computers.
• Enable for Mobile: Enables fullscreen only on mobile devices.
• Expand on Play: Fullscreen is automatically enabled when the video starts playing.
• Minimize on Pause: Fullscreen is automatically closed when the video is paused.

• Picture-in-Picture: The Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature allows the video to continue following the viewer while they navigate through the page.

When enabled, the video can be displayed in a floating mini player after the viewer scrolls away from the main player, keeping the content visible while they continue exploring the page.

This way, Picture-in-Picture helps keep the viewer connected to the video during navigation and creates a more seamless experience.
